These grinders find an important application in pumping stations as well as in the treatment of sludge from pretreatment systems.

The Muffin Monster® and Channel Monster® grinders are rugged machines designed to shred any materials that could hinder the operation of water treatment systems. The MDQ/MDQ-C multi-disc screw dewatering system runs in continuous mode. As the screws rotate, the moving rings travel parallel to the fixed rings, ensuring self-cleaning of the film pores. Additionally, water from the rinsing unit’s nozzles, rinses the surface of the outer drum. The resulting dewatered sludge from this screw press typically reaches between 75% and 82% in dryness.
