In a significant proactive endeavour, Mabarex actively participated in the “Adopt the Rivière l’Assomption 2018” fundraising campaign, held at the Musée d’art de Joliette on April 19, 2018. This campaign was organized in collaboration with Fondation Rivières, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, restoring, and enhancing the natural essence of rivers.

The primary objective of this campaign, under the chairmanship of Nordikeau, was to generate resources for continued research focused on improving water quality within the Rivière l’Assomption watershed. These efforts align with the goals of the Corporation de l’Aménagement de la Rivière l’Assomption’s (CARA) Water Master Plan (WMP). The project’s specific aim was to evaluate the performance of municipal wastewater systems and propose effective solutions to support municipalities.
