MABAREX WILL PARTICIPATE TO THE GLOBAL CLIMATE STRIKE ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2019

Montreal, September 24th, 2019 - For several days, youth have been mobilizing around the world to demand concrete actions from their elected representatives to fight against global warming. Quebec is part of the movement, closing some schools to allow their students and their parents to participate in the global climate strike day on Friday.

If the actual greenhouse gas emissions rate is maintained, the planet temperature will increase by three to four degrees by 2050. This warming will have a major impact on the environment in which we live, work and play. In a direct way, we see it with the recent events here in Quebec, but also indirectly by the increase in poverty in general.

MABAREX works in the environmental field and can only welcome the movement for significant changes aimed at reducing the impact of our current and past actions.

We would like to give our employees the opportunity to participate in the World Climate Strike in Montreal to show our support to this cause. On Friday September 27th, MABAREX will close its doors in the afternoon, allowing our team to support global climate actions.

It is the first time that we take such a decision and we understand that this could have an impact on our customers. Do not hesitate to contact us so that we can answer your requests by September 27th.
